The last time we were on European soil as a family was 2018. Simon was all but 1.5 years old and Nolan 3.5. We had a wonderful time exploring the Tuscan hills and Florence streets with my sister and brother-in-law. Definitely a family trip for the books! We also found ourselves (along with friends from Rome) by the sea, where the locals typically hang during their summer vacation. Nettuno was the town and we loved seeing how they lived in this hottest of seasons; days by the beach, siestas and late nights spent lingering in one another's company (kids included). It was always our hope to return the following year or the next but as you well know, the world went kinda topsy-turvy and plans needed to change. We are grateful for The Lord's grace and hand over it all. And now after 3 years, we're so pleased to be heading back! This time to see family in Switzerland but also to savour the sites and culture of England, France and Portugal. If you, dear friend or family are interested, do visit this online journal from time-to-time to find photos, stories, tidbits of our time in the Old World. We are delighted to share a bit of our adventure with you!
